Ken Dillon

Actor. Private Instructor. Stage Manager. Director. All Around Useful Guy. kenrdillon@gmail.com

Ken Dillon started acting in high school as a way of meeting women, but then discovered he was actually good at it. Ken attended Ripon College in Ripon, WI, graduating with a double major in Theatre and English. His post-college professional credits include touring with Bridgework Theatre and the Windy City Players, where he played Huck Finn in "Tom Sawyer". He has also appeared with St. Croix Valley Summer Theatre, playing Kolenkhov in "You Can't Take It With You" and as ten different characters in "Greater Tuna". He has also appeared with the Boulevard Ensemble, Soulstice Theatre, RSVP Productions, and the Alchemist Theatre in Milwaukee, WI, earning critical acclaim for roles like Dan in "Sexual Perversity in Chicago", Lendall in "Almost, Maine", The Man in "Stevie", and Butch Honeywell in "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot", as well as adding another production of "Greater Tuna" and it's sequel, "A Tuna Christmas" to his resume.

In 2010, Ken left the US behind for awhile to get his Masters in Acting from the Birmingham School of Acting in Birmingham, UK.  Focusing his studies on the British Tradition, Ken appeared in Separate Tables, Twelfth Night, After Mrs. Rochester, The Grace of Mary Traverse, and Playhouse Creatures, often in dual roles because he was the only male member of his program.   His thesis was about cross-gender acting. He graduated with Commendation. In the fall of 2011 he made his triumphant return to the US, appearing in the CDS 2011 Showcase in New York City to enthusiastic critical response.

Since moving to New York in 2012, Ken has kept busy, appearing in numerous theatrical productions, including Juror #3 in "12 Angry Men", the President of the United States in "What Happened to the Dollar", and Starkwedder in "The Unexpected Guest", as well as many others.  He has also booked roles in the films "The Hospital Visit" "Welcome Home" and "Ghost Source Zero", and on the tv shows "Frenemies", "Dead Again", "My Rom-Com Life", among others.

Ken was also featured in the first nationwide TV spot for the mobile app Viggle (see reel).

Ken's versatility, experience, and cool under fire have made him a reliable and valuable resource for directors everywhere.  When a last minute replacement is needed who can handle the pressure of doing a project on short notice, and someone says, "I know a guy..."  Ken Dillon is often that guy. Whether it's learning a new role in a film during the time the shot is being set up, playing 10 characters in the same production, or performing in a scripted play with a cast he's meeting for the first time 5 minutes before curtain, Ken relishes every challenging opportunity.
